The Challenge

Building in the climate of Zanzibar requires specific capacity for cooling and moisture extraction. At the same time, the location demanded easy assembly without heavy equipment.

The Solution

The PLEXYZ system was applied for the structural design of the villa, providing light-weight elements with a highly corrosion-resistent coating. The application of a double-skin climate facade provided the building with te infrastructure for the necessary cooling and ventilation.

As the location is on the beach, the villa is built off the ground, supported by adjustable stilts, which are situated under the columns, supporting the roof structure.
